Pop Culture in My Own Culture

   



In this presentation, I'm going to talk about superheroes in my culture and why they are a big part of pop culture.

Special Event

My special event was my first concert, it was part of the Ascend tour by ILLENIUM. The day was November 8th in Credit Union 1 Arena, I assisted with my three siblings.  In total were 4 DJs, the first one was William Black, the second one was Dabin, the third one was Ekali and the last one was ILLENIUM. Course Reflection

In this semester I learned about pop culture, about what is popular now, and about what was popular in some decades ago, I learned that everything is/ was popular culture, like some artists that were popular in the past decades, were part of popular culture, but now they are considered part of high culture. It is necessary to study pop culture because we are part of it, but not only for that, pop culture represents us, for example, Mi parents said the music that my siblings listen is horrible but they don't get it that when they were teenagers, their music was horrible for their parents, same as my siblings they were part of pop culture at that moment, because in these days some of the artist that they listen too, are considered great artist, in my opinion, some artists that are part of pop culture in some years they are going to be considered incredible artist and my generation is going to hate the music of the new generations, and the cycle is going to be the same, over and over....
